Antique Chinese Mother of Pearl Shell Tazzas

Dating to the late 19th century, this pair of tazzas consists of a mother of pearl shell resting on three sterling silver bamboo stalks, attached with silver butterflies. Each silver base has a small, young bamboo shoot sprouting in the center of the three stalks. They are set upon the original carved wood stands. Purchased from the collection of Thomas English Cody (1889-1948), great nephew of Buffalo Bill Cody.
