Augarten Melon Porcelain

Designed in 1929 by Josef Hoffmann, founder of the Wiener Werkstätte. Due to the curved shapes of the now iconic china service, it places the highest demands on porcelain painters.

Augarten Wien has been manufacturing fine porcelain in the heart of Vienna since 1718. The intricately painted patterns of their handcrafted pieces have set the standard for porcelain perfection for three centuries. Augarten Wien has created numerous bespoke collections for royal families, including the emperors of Japan and Russia, Marie Antoinette and Napoleon Bonaparte.
