Kirk Stieff ‘Repousse’ Sterling Salt Spoons, set of 12

$450.00

The iconic ‘Repousse’ silver pattern by Baltimore, Maryland-based Kirk Stieff debuted in 1828, making it the oldest sterling silver pattern produced in the United States. The pattern uses two of the oldest silversmithing techniques, dating back to ancient Egypt–repoussé and chasing. The repoussé technique involves using a hammer to press out a pattern from the reverse of a piece, which is then finished with chasing or additional hammering of details from the front side. Pair this antique set of salt spoons with our hand-carved semi-precious stone bowls.
