Emanuela Crotti Resin and Lacquer Table

A true conversation piece, this one-of-a-kind table contains hundreds of collected gilded mementos and charms floating in ten layers of clear, polished epoxy resin on an oxblood lacquered background. The table base is laser-cut iron, also lacquered in oxblood. The size makes it perfect in a larger foyer or as a small table for eating, studying or games, as shown on a similar table from the artist in the Grace Breakfast Room.

Italian artist Emanuela Crotti transforms traditional furniture and home accessories from ordinary to sublime with her ethereal “floating collages”. Evoking order and artistry from a mélange of collectibles such as shells, figurines and other precious items, Crotti’s mandala-like designs have an almost meditative effect. The artist encases her arrangements within many layers of polished epoxy resin, enhancing the peaceful harmony across three dimensions.
