Italian artist Emanuela Crotti transforms traditional furniture and home accessories with her ethereal “floating collages.” For her furniture pieces, she arranges collectibles—shells, figurines, and precious items—into mandala-like designs with an almost meditative effect, then encases them within layers of polished epoxy resin. The three-dimensional result (see a table here) evokes order and artistry, qualities echoed in her kaleidoscopic two-dimensional charger placemats.
