Terracotta Dinner Plates, set of 8
Pomelo Casa$736.00
These dinner plates carry a motif that has decorated the pottery of Granada for five centuries: birds and pomegranates, the fruit a namesake of the city itself — granada is Spanish for pomegranate. This traditional pattern is hand-painted in amarilla, a golden yellow, rather than the cobalt blue and green more commonly seen on this ware. Dishwasher and microwave safe.
Pomelo Casa was started by Los Angeles-based designer, Francesca de la Fuente. Unable to find the same high quality, handmade ceramics that filled her childhood home in Spain, de la Fuente partnered with a small, family-run workshop in Granada to create traditional terracotta pottery hand-painted in bold, contemporary colors.
